Temptation Poem by Sacha Wilson

Temptation

Rating: 5.0

Have you ever found yourself in a situation
where you find it so hard to resist tempation

You know there's so much on the line,
yet your inevitable emotions make you blind
Those lips seem softer and that body looks great
It seems almost impossible to find something about him you hate

You try to convince yourself the feelings aren't true
That's until you find out that he likes you too
Things become uncomfortable
The rooms becomes hot
Your world starts spinning
You could die on the spot

Your bodies seem to move on thin air
Closer and closer until the tension you cannot bear
You mouth slowly opens and your eyes draw closed
Your lips finally lock and your feelings are exposed

Suddenly the music becomes sad
The lights dim out
you realise what you're doing is bad.
Your mind freezes and you don't know what to do
You contemplate your actions and ask your self why

You push away quickly
you try to explain
As you run, tears stream from your face
Your heart keeps on beating at an incredible pace

Questions keep running through your head
Depression hits and you never want to get out of bed
You don't want to face reality
It seems you've found yourself in a self-inflicted tragedy

You imagine the hurt on that loved one's face
The relationship turbulence you'll have to embrace
But in the end love is more a word than a feeling

That's a powerful poem Sacha. And for a person as young as you, the wisdom your poem shared is fantastic. Keep writing. You got real talent.
