Temptation Poem by Jude's Child

Temptation

A covenant with my eyes Ive made
No longer searching my life down I laid
I must hold fast and remain steady
Or the temptations abound will engulf me
Temptations of flesh and worldly wonder
That if accepted will surely destroy me
A battle of will I face these moments
Moments of stumbling feet
But would it not be a lost cause
Were it not for my Saviour?
I must hold fast and remain steady
Or the temptations abound will engulf me
