Friends Or Are They? Poem by Jude's Child

Friends Or Are They?

Rating: 4.8

Far and few between
True friends rarely seen
It is said we are but a reflection
Of the company we keep
Is it not a sad day for me
To realise the difference is so steep

For I have but a few friends in this life
Few who have supported in strife
And yet what I have given blindly
To often it seems now
Will never be repaid in full
They are to selfish somehow

But for those who cared at all
I promise you today
That the 'friends' who lost my favour today
Their share upon you shall fall
