Tempting Machinations Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Tempting Machinations

Tempting machinations being displayed about a department store,
sales clerks hoping that they will reach out and grasp minds
of customers.

Touching their senses so they will buy what they have put on
display, usually costing much more than what is lying on the
shelves off the main floor.

Specialty items tempting all who have money to waste on some-
thing they don't need, after going home, hiding them away,
lying forgotten or given away, realizing they've never needed
them in the first place.
