Ten Evil Men Poem by Paul Falconer

Ten Evil Men

Rating: 5.0

No souls, no mercy, no nothing inside
With knives and weapons they went
For drugs, not food, they skin you alive
Ten evil men their money all spent

A young kid of pure heart
Such a pleasure to teach
His grades were outstanding
His dreams within reach

Just days past his prom dance
He put on his fabulous shoes
Playing Fortnite with his best mates
Beating the post exam blues

In darkness they left the arcade
Taking shortcuts thru the underpasses
These ten men set upon them
Took their money, shoes and cheap sunglasses

There was no need to stab him
But one man did, twice thru the heart
In shock his friends ran away
Fear gave them a good head start

The young boy bled out there
Barefoot and alone in the field
He was so beautiful, his kind face
Grew pale as his blood congealed

Ten evil men felt no remorse
Gleefully sharing their spoils
Not much from four kids
'Cept the one who dressed so royal

'Why you stabbed him - it's now murder?
The leader to the killer, spoke
'Cos he lied to me, I'm telling you
When he told me didn't smoke!
