Tender, Tiger Eyes Poem by Julian Takali

Tender, Tiger Eyes

My dancer tonight, my sun-kissed blossom
My dancer tonight is a dream
She is the rhythm and the slow, sensual humming bass
Dancer, dance, dance it away
Tender, tiger eyes

Be my lady and my lover
Be my sugar and my sex
Be my craze and my calm
Be my sun and my storm
Run wild with me through the forests

Sleep warm in my grip
The morning will wait with open arms
The sun will bleed through our porch
Into bed with us, into our dreams
Stay untamed for the night
But with morning, be serene
