Terror Refugee - Poem by Barry Middleton

The terror of war,
the fear of all terror,

drives humanity
like the fear of death.
Love and peace,
and life and liberty,

are shining ideals
that crown a dream.
The terror of despair
gazes to the west,

trusting its embrace,
and the solace of hope.
