Thank You

'Every disappointment is a blessing.'
Thank you for the disappointments,
For they strengthened me and
Made me believe that no one is there for me.

Thank you for saying NO,
For that made me look further
And walk farther to get
What is rightfully mine.

Thank you for not taking notice of me,
Because of that, too much was not
Expected of me, and I moved and grew
To places you can't reach, and can only glance at me.

Thank you for what you said,
For if you hadn't, I would still be there,
Where I would not grow, let alone thrive.
You never expected to see this.

Thanks for your false impressions,
For now,
You can't deceive me anymore.
Thank you for making me grow for my sake.
