Thank You Friend
When I was ready to depart,
The great stranger smiled
And gently said to me,
'Thank you Friend, '
This encouraged me
In a significant way,
For the first time I realised
The real value of life,
A brilliant wave encircled
My inner self,
Just three words......
'Thank you Friend' seemed very ordinary outwardly,
But extremely prolific in the profound sense,
It changed the situation very rapidly,
The outcome of the polite words was absolutely genuine for me.
My, my! This is one of your greatest poems yet! You so excellently sum up the essence of those 'three words'! There is nothing nearly so kind as a simple thank you.
A grateful heart creates ripples of happiness. A very inspiring write well presented.
