Thank you, Lord

'Thank you, Lord'
the heart responds with the word
my head bows down in prayers
accept me with weakness, creator
the day begins with lots of worries
silently bracing with resolve to carry
'I shall work hard to earn my bread'
always peace at heart with no trace of hatred
I shall not budge from my principled path
and fully demonstrate confidence and faith
this shall remain till I am alive
and mould the life to live at an ease
no deception, no treachery and simple living
life is precious and worthy for believing
entire life to devote in praising my lord
grant me wisdom but not the sword
the body shall perish,
and may remain with only ashes
the gentle wind shall. take it away
only memory shall speak in its own way
