Thank You, Son Poem by Dorothy Good

Thank You, Son

Rating: 5.0

Thank You, Son
Often we kneel in the quiet of the day
And breathe your name as we bow and pray.
We think of our children, who left our home
With thoughts of you, our hearts grow warm.
We think of the awesome place you fill
In your place called 'home' by the rocky hills.
The man you are for the girl we knew
Gives joy to the hearts of these parents too.
Your children, oh, whatta hearts' delight;
We thank you for the 'spoiling rights! '
You make our day when you make a call
Or you pull right in for a royal ball! !
We thank you too, for your warm embrace;
Accepting us with our funny ways.
You're an awesome man with awesome task
And we thank the Lord, what more could we ask! !
In Gratitude
