Thanks To You - Poem by TOM Altenhofen

I remember every day of those 5 years I knew you. I remember the joy and pain. I never saw such a girl, such a wonderful girl. I suffer forever, thanks to you.

I remember the fun times, when we colored the world. I remember the songs we sang. I never had as much fun, as much magical fun. I'm darker now, thanks to you.

I remember the years we grew up together. I remember when you were so young. I never had joy, what a marvelous joy. I'm joyless now, thanks to you.

I remember the tears when you still were so shy. I remember the stage where you didn't fit in. I never felt special 'til you made me feel special. I'm worthless now, thanks to you.

I remember the songs you sang really loud. I remember your wild side. I never was humored, so hilariously humored. I'm dead now, thanks to you.

I remember we acted together on stage and you playfully called me your man. I remember you seemed like you cared. I never felt stupid, so pathetically stupid. I'm hurt now, thanks to you.

I remember the girls, such lovable girls.10's,20's,30's and more
I was shut down by all and rejected like nothing, ignored, avoided and left.
They never gave me a chance to show that my love can be so real.
