Thanksgiving Poem by Alex Retzlaff

Thanksgiving

Rating: 0.5

Thanksgiving, the time for giving, the time for remarkable measure.
Eat as much as you can until you have no more leisure.
Eat until you have a seizure.
No time for panic, no time to become an insomniac.
A time to start clean with no more sins.
To have happy thoughts and never be distraught.
I sought to never die, never lie, and never cry, but i can only sigh.
No more fright and a lot more delight.
The food is in sight, the warmth of the light, and the tight fit of a happy family.
Thanksgiving
The time for forgiving
Thanksgiving.
