Many many in life
Provided me support
Joy and happiness
They shared in plenty.

First it was parents
Who helped a lot
To take one step after other
To move on in the world.

They made sure I reach
A certain stature in society
Later it was intimate friends
Who developed my personality.

Teachers in school and college
Increased knowledge manyfold
They taught me ways to lead
A good and purposeful life.

I cannot forget the role played
By my life's partner who
Nurtured me constantly to be
Of service to society as a whole.

Children gave me
Motivation to progress
Through their unique ways
Of handling things creatively.

Some unknown force may have
Brought them all together
Sure it must be the Almighty
Who bestowed good fortune on me.

Here I wish to express
A deep feeling of my satisfaction
And with due respect I convey
Many many thanks to all.
