That August Breeze Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

That August Breeze

Rating: 5.0

I want you to hold me
And keep me warm
Like that August breeze surrounding me
Keeping me safe from
Those who don't understand
And making me weep for nothing
They are the ones who oppress us
Thinking they are rightous
I want you to carry me
Somewhere no one know our names
As the summer nights are long and soft
Like yr touch
We walk along the deserted beacjh barefoot
Watching the dolphins
Playful as they are
They ingore the interruption
While the sunrise appears
The blue waters kiss the sky
