That Line Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

That Line

That line

Collapsed walls one by one
-when bombers spit bombs.

Spread its wings death
-on mobiles and still.

Vapored hopes and dreams,
-when crashed factory!

Avro died by order:
- "Kill them, kill! "

Departed men, women
-employed as workers
-devoting nights and days!

With a piece of cloth on their backs
-romantic left the sight of romance
-departed, lowered head
-with no time to wrap, pack.

Took along their dreams
-with lunch box; as drinks…

"Died Avro…"
"Dead was killed! "

Abandoned were homes, lives
-of those who had become family
-when cracked inside them
-the column of Avro…

Canada's martyred jet!
-is alive in the chests.

The Nation's Hearts, Brains
-are hangers and shrines or graves!

The workers scattered
-in NASA and elsewhere.

Stories are told but
-in mumble and whisper
-by the losers or depressed!
