That Long Rough Road Poem by Dorsey Baker

That Long Rough Road

your sight
your hearing
your flesh
your bones they tell
you how weak
they have become
where they have come from
where they are going to
it's been
such a long road
a rough one too
hills and valleys
sleep less night
real hard days
some sunshine
and rainy ones too
the planet that you worship
it is now
ready to kill you
it no longer
wants you to be around
it is tired of you
your complaining
your misery
it hates and dispises
you
you have become a burden
because you are so old
you are so aged my friend
