That 'ol Train Poem by Dorsey Baker

I live very close
to the railroad track
and that 'ol train
comes rumbling through
early every morning
making a sound so loud
shaking my house so hard!
Instantly!
waking me up
from my sleep
blowing its trumpet
that sounds slightly off key
it does not blow
very long
but it is loud enough
to wake the dead
that 'ol train
makes so much sound
when its rumbling
down the track
letting everybody
and everything know
they'd better
stay out of its way!
