That Old Giant Poem by Dorsey Baker

That Old Giant

That old giant is a bully and
He has come back
To beat up the little people again
He beat them up
If he fight them
One by one
If the little people
Don't stick together
They can't win!

Like an animal
In the jungle
Divide and catch
Your prey all by itself
It's at its weakest!
Can be so easy to stalk
And defeat!

The little people
Beat up!
So many times
By that old giant
Promised to arm themselves
Become strong in courage
Bring powerful weapons to
The battlefield!

That old giant cannot bully them
Cannot beat them up
Ever again!
If that old giant
Sees them sticking together
This time
He will sense their strength
And become too afraid
To ever come and attempt to beat them up again
Because there is so much power
In being united!
As the saying goes
