That's Love Poem by Francis Duggan

That's Love

She left in the morning train as the sun rose in the sky
But to the man who loved her true she did not kiss goodbye
'Tis said she has found somebody new in the City far away
And her ex is a lovelorn man that's love as some do say.

A year gone by since she left him and yet for her he pine
And he the last thing on her mind 'tis said she is doing fine
To her he's just a former fling to him she's still a rose
That's how it is when love is one way and that's love one must suppose.

Love can bring joy to many and of love the poets do sing
But he knows as many others do that love can be a hurtful thing
Too lovelorn at the present for to give love one more try
But his love ache will lessen as time goes ticking by.

The one true love that he has known will never be his wife
Him she did not even kiss goodbye she just went out of his life
But time will heal the ache he feel and he will be okay
And he will fall in love again in a not too distant day.
