That's Me Poem by Etienne Charilaou

That's Me

In the book
of yes and no
it took
a moment's hesitation
to rule out flagellation.

High atop
the peak of memory fleet
I saw the advancing sheet
of whitened tourmaline -
it turned black then green.

Though it's true
I never could catch you
in the narrow lanes
of hearts and flames.

So with deep regret
from now you may expect
the bluntest sympathy
that you'll ever see.

High atop the peak of memory fleet I saw the advancing sheet of whitened tourmaline - it turned black then green. Beautifully described the deep emotions in these lines. Thanks poet for the sharing.10 for it.
