Wordless Poem by Etienne Charilaou

Wordless

The greatest poem ever writ
must lie below the summit
of the wordless,
for the greatest beauty and truth,
the greatest love,
lie far beyond poor groping words,
poor groping minds, poor groping memories,
poor groping wills - they reach -
but fail.

There is no way to gain the heights
of bliss sublime lest He so ordain;
and let fall the veil between.

So am I hushed.

The idea of the poem: the theme itself is poetic. The kind that catapults thoughts to the otherworldly realm. Good piece, dear poet. A joy to read and catch the urge to think.

The greatest poem is far beyond poor groping words, poor groping minds, poor groping memories, poor groping wills - how true are your words........... the INEXPRESSIBLE: thank you very much.
