That's Riduculous Poem by Richard Fuerst

That's Riduculous

'How dare you, that's ridiculous
Roared the gaint to the curious child

The child who studied dancing armadillos
Like an engineer or thirty poet
Never blinked

'Where there's smoke there's fire'
Thought the gaint
Soon the guidance counselor and mother knew

Life chagned for the better
The Student of the Month memorized
The names and places of Founding Fathers
And recited by heart the multiplication tables

As things would have it
Time passed before someone said
'That's ridiculous'
