That Was My Mum Poem by David Wheeldon

That Was My Mum

Rating: 5.0

She had the kindest of faces
Her heart filled with love
She would do anything for anyone
'That was my mum'
When I found myself in need of a friend
it was you I'd turn too,
You were my guiding light,
Now my shining star,
'That was my mum'
You gave to me the best times of my life
How proud I was to walk by your side
Your smile and beauty dazzled all
Oh, yes
'That was my mum'
But now the angels have come and taken
The woman with the golden heart
How proud you must make them feel
'That was my mum'

A beautiful tribute to a wonderful mum ceremoniously rich in tone. Lovely and very heartfelt. Thanks for sharing, David.
