That Which I Speak, As I Come Before The Almighty Poem by Robert Hilary

That Which I Speak, As I Come Before The Almighty

That which I speak as I come before the Almighty. May i be sheltered in his glory and power. Through sacred silence may i reach the top of the mountain unscathed. And may the fire of heaven alight upon my heart. Making me speak truth from the very core of who I am. I am a child of mercy. An ancient of the high arts. And a son of no one. A child with no ties. No heirs. No heritage. The wind. And my bones are my riches. My breath and the blood in my veins my only currency. I am but a musician without an instrument. A leader without a following. A teacher without a student. There will be beauty in all that i see and nothing will be the same without me for I am the unconquered shaman. Who fights with love in my heart and never surrenders. White spider my totem. I am fierce in my language and calm in my patient wisdom...
