The Act Of Slowly Dying Poem by Dorsey Baker

The Act Of Slowly Dying

Sometimes you feel
just like a
pebble!
in the ocean of time
but when you get drunk
they will still
make you walk the line

They will raise you
from the dead
then bury your body
in precious gold
you will freeze to death
because dying
is bitter cold
and you can't feel
the ground
when they lay
your body down!
