The African Child Poem by Chukwuma Adione

The African Child

Rating: 5.0

A child in Africa
could be a man in America
though a victim of corruption's odour
yet they are vessels unto honour
The african child is a name of a title
a power and faith perhaps little
lets keep our gaze on who they are
time would make them greater than stars.

The African child is a name of a title. A good rhyming octave. Nice poem. Thanks for sharing. Sylva-Onyema Uba

Beautiful blend of plight of the African Child and the Child's strength of character, which is brought to bear on deplorable situation of things - duty and resolve holding firm. A lovely poem nicely penned in good diction with conviction. Thanks for sharing Chukwuma.
