The Anointing Of Amazing Grace! Poem by Denis Martindale

Gladness and sorrow, hand-in-hand, like coins that have two sides,
Beyond what God had foremost planned, since each of these abides.
Yet Christ has conquered sin and death and lives for evermore,
The Cross was not His final breath, death not the final door!

God places power in our prayers because of Calvary,
Anointing us because Christ cares for all eternity.
Anointing through the King of Love, Good Shepherd, Lord and Friend,
Amazing Grace Christ calls enough beyond our own life's end!

Gladness and sorrow, hand-in-hand, and this God's Spirit knows,
Yet God's anointing has been planned, thus daily overflows.
Together stronger, prayers unite, empowered by Christ's Name,
If we stay children of the light, Christ's Gospel to proclaim!

So pray for Gentiles and for Jews, not just Jerusalem,
Christ's Rapture Day the Lord must choose, when Jesus comes for them.
Departing from His Holy Throne, the whole world then to learn,
The promises the saints have known! Our Saviour will return!
