The Apologetic Tortoise Poem by Wemdy Adams

The Apologetic Tortoise

Rating: 5.0

Oh no, I've got a day behind
On my New Year's resolution.
Sometimes it's very hard to find
Ideas for elocution.

Some people call it writer's block,
For me it's just the opposite,
Too many thoughts going on the trot,
No way that I can tackle it.

So now I've managed to invent
A brand new form of poetry,
It's main intention to present
Excuses for this quandary.

I need to get more focussed now,
Decide which thought I'm going to choose,
Self-discipline and disallow
Procrastination as a ruse.
