If Adam had picked the Apple
Instead of his mate Eve,
Everything would had been different
That! I truly do believe.
His action would had been justified
He would had preached later to one and all,
If he hadn't picked that Apple
On his belly the devil wouldn't crawl.
If he had first picked that fruit
And then firstly took that first bite,
Maybe the scriptures would be different
From his very own hind site.
After Adam had named all the creatures
And named everything that he did see,
Maybe then he was alone and lost
And saw that beautiful created fruit hanging from a tree.
He was the protector of woman
As he was surveying the brand new land,
And then when he saw that glistening Apple
Maybe that's why he grasped it in his hand.
Maybe he was really starving
Or maybe like a child he was curious,
Maybe he didn't listen to God fully
Truly not knowing that the Lord would be furious.
But, Eve plucked that Apple
Maybe she wanted notoriety and maybe freedom,
Maybe she picked it because she was alone and on her own
Or maybe, she just wanted to leave Eden.
