Embracing each other the Ash and I
shaping our hearts into a leaf
tears falling together
infusing and bonding in grief,
strangers we are from birth
the only difference is in girth.
Our colour codes crystalize
our skins don't match
we bear fruit of similar feeling
with a portrait of profound pain
we can comfort each other
what we will go through again.
The Ash tree and I share space
to tell our stories in grace
with new seeds of life created
showing we can live side by side
I swear on my oath not related
mature in life smiling with pride.
