The 'attach-Detach' Game Poem by Kishore Kumar Das

We love
living and non-living beings
love natural
leads to attachment
foundation of desire
in the run-up to fulfill the goal
conscience loses direction
we take wrong decisions
that is the stage of attachment.
But this to be supplemented
by stage two
the stage of detachment
as Lord Krishna preaches in 'Gita'
all wonderful things in the universe;
the beauty, the wealth
the smile, the splendour
the skill, the glitter
the music, the voice
the name, the fame
are His manifestations only
everything short-lived like the lightning streaks
which constitute the ocean of divine love
why attach to a particular thing?
detachment, the only option
to get rid of desire
to live in the present moment.
