The Ballroom In Reverse - Poem by bacila simona

I flew once in the wonder ballroom
for heart and eyes to meet my groom
round there in passion for a glimpse
with smoke fingers let him in displease.

Dance had movement of wild wind
our bodies reversed in air eternal find
but when the fate ticked like thunder
I had to turn and walked as stranger.

My run has light speed and beyond
home I go with number steps a thousand
in agony go until sunset for the night
but life brings me the spade of fight.

My forehead goes on father’s feet
release this promise from the sheet
give back freedom to live in joy
this poor heart of mine is not a ploy.

What made him to change his mind?
tears of clear water in a river bind
lips with ardent words in my defence
but really, love for me put him in trance.

My groom from violet dreams of soul
I come as sweetheart with my arms to fold
but in the ballroom other hand takes pride
aimless here and forever I remain eternal bride.
