wow that is differant normally i wouldnt like a poem that is like this but your poem ted is truly an eye catcher and make you want to read it over again
hahaha wow.....this one is different, but great. I love it, beauty such as that should not be for sale, but unfortunately many women do not know their true cost. Great writing man, you are an excellent poet.
What strikes me about this poem is the Olde Englishness of the title and the theme. In a sense I could imagine a Donne poem written on the same theme using the language of the day to capture the same experience. But this is definitely a 21st century piece; one that captures an isolation that is peculiar to these times, both spiritually and politically. It make me think of Barack Obama’s recent triumph (did you, by any chance, see the Nathan Shapiro article?) in that critics are trying to say the same point that his supporters were misguided in their support and he is not what he seems. A great, for me, allegorical poem, Ted and written with your usual skill.
