The Beauty Of America Poem by Hebert Logerie

The Beauty Of America

America is still, still the land of the brave and the free;
America is also the land of opportunities and liberty.
In recent months, we've seen changes in the mainland.
Undesirables and want-to-be clowns have been acting up.
It is sacrilegious to draw the wrong sketches in the sand,
Or to erect the wrong statues, in public squares, on top
Of the hills, at the summit of the magnificent mountains.

America, with glowing and marvelous hilltops and plains,
Will always evince her beauty. Amidst the chaos, America
Will not stand for bigotry, hate, and ignorance. Amid the saga,
America will find a way to support the righteous libertarians,
And the progressive politicians who do not fear to fight
For the rights of the people. America is a land of laws, lights,
And a dock for the poor, the underprivileged and the persecuted.

America, our America, stands against discrimination and hatred.
No, I am not writing about the wrong America. I have evidence
That America is, without a doubt, gorgeous, full of common sense,
And the undisputed beacon of hope and justice for its citizens.
America is forever strong, healthy, witty, and full of confidence.
