The Beauty Queen Poem by Dorsey Baker

The Beauty Queen

The beauty queen
sits upon her throne
Rules her kingdom
With a very steady hand
Assuring herself

That a kingdom
So strong will forever stand
Forgetting the fact
That time moves swiftly
And time takes its toll

That no earthly thing last forever
Because beauty itself is so fragile
And can quickly fade away!

Beauty without
Being within
Is nothing itself
Nothing!
