The Best You Can Poem by Francis Duggan

The Best You Can

Rating: 4.5

The saying live and let live remains relevant and true
And always give credit to whom it is due
The one who takes pleasure on putting others down
Is never the most popular one in the town
Nobody is perfect in truth one can say
But some more perfect than others it does seem this way
What applies to everyone and this includes me and you
Is to live as a good person this the best you can do
For yourself you can plant Karma's good seed
By helping anyone of your helping in need
The compassionate, caring and kind are great people indeed
Though sadly nowadays they do seem a rare breed
You only can live to be the best you can be
And on so doing you are benefitting humanity.
