The Birth Identity. Poem by Rm. Shanmugam Chettiar

The Birth Identity.

It is my native place,
Where I was not born
And where my father came
As an adopted child.
I studied somewhere,
Worked and lived somewhere.
I have not settled there
Where I was born and hence
Would be cremated somewhere.
Still I call it as my native place
Where alone I still keep
Some sort of birth identity.
