The Bitter Taste
To know
the bitter taste
of love betrayed
is to turn happiness
into sadness
turn laughter
into tears
The bitter taste
of love betrayed
will forever remain
in a heart full of pain
Eyes flooded with tears
burn with the fever
of distress
and dispair
so unfair
Darkness falls
with its heavy weight
covering the sun
and its light
which makes the smile
upon your face
disappear from sight!
