The Blade That Killed Her Poem by Violet Thorn

The Blade That Killed Her

Rating: 5.0

Searching frantically, I open the drawer.
I rummage through what's before me
And pull out what I was looking for,
Then lock and slide down the bathroom door.

Teardrops stream down my face
As an icy blade runs down my arm
And crimson blood seeps from my veins,
Making my wrist lukewarm.

Others don't understand.
They can't comprehend
why I cut; I barely can.

I'm the shell of the girl
I used to be;
A stranger to myself.
I'm alone in this world.
I must be free.
I have to find myself.

They love to taunt.
They want me gone.
They hate me so much,
Now they'll get what they want.

I'll drag the razor across my throat
And then, forever, my eyes will close.
In my hands will lay a rose-
A dead one, to show the end of the road.

I couldn't handle it.
I had to do it.
By the time you read this,
I'll be gone.

Never fear the shadows, they simple mean there's light nearby.....hardships makes us strong, they say hard times never kill....God has a plan for each of us, that you must know, He didnt bring you this far to leave you here....great poem though.
