The Light Poem by Violet Thorn

The Light

When I walk out into the mid-day sun,
After waking from my slumber,
Before I even brush my teeth,
While branches snap under my feet,
I walk through the woods alone.

As the wind blows through my hair,
While the leaves rustle on the trees,
When the blazing sun comes out,
After the brutal wind dies down,
Life's true light I was shown.
