The Bleeding Heart Poem by Rita Valentine

The Bleeding Heart

Rating: 5.0

Oh my little one, my heart still bleeds
Since you left in a deep, deep sleep.
I still recall the saddest part,
Because it still lives deep inside my heart.

The pain I felt I cannnot explain,
The tears fell, like a falling rain.
The memories I have, is the only tie,
Because I could not say goodbye.

Oh Lord, why did you have to do it that way?
The most traumatic accident that day.
The day so cold, the water deep
It all smothered her to sleep.

You died on the cross sixth day,
But then decided to call her your way.
She would have been a teen this year,
Instead she is an angel dear.

Though this poem expressed sorrowful event, yet it enlightened the hearts of those whose love ones have departed. Life maybe short, but it has a purpose and full of lessons to learn from. God gives life, and life God takes. Write more inspiring poems my dear.10 for it.
