The Blind Man And The Queen Of Guatemala Poem by Timmy Curran

The Blind Man And The Queen Of Guatemala

Those eyes that seemed to float
completely blind to respect of anyone´s
plight, the Queen of Guatemala
sat directly to his right, in her
womb she held the heir of the
vast land, rich with greed,
death and despair, but that history
will not be his, for she travels the
path of a peasant, to sit next
to more blind men, to push her
down under the crown of old
disease and atrocities, his history
is dark; all he´s ever seen, the man
so ignorant, he would never believe that
when he stole her precious seat,
that it was the Queen of Guatemala,
bearing child, who had to suffer
the rest of the travel
