The Botswanan Lady Poem by ernest hilary

The Botswanan Lady

Rating: 2.0

Since bats are shy flying during the day
And birds running away from nectars
Out of my mouth though
Will I sing your praise
The heavens and the earth
Have never met for once
Neither has the eye seen the ears
Yet they're aware of each existence
From here to there will I sail
Many oceans and cities will be crossed
No matter how friendly
The mouse and the snake be
The former shall one day
End in the belly of the latter
Such is the distance between us
This distance shall be consumed
Cos with the mirror's help
The eye shall see the ears
I'll sail and cross and swallow cities
Until my soul and yours be together
You're the botswanan lady.
