The Breeze Sways The Grass With Tender Grace Poem by Mohammad Younus

The Breeze Sways The Grass With Tender Grace

The breeze sways the grass with tender grace,
As sunlight dances, weaving earth and sky.
Fragrance drifts on whispers, soft and light,
While heaven breathes a deep, contented sigh.

In stillness, calm and free from care,
I sit as hidden songbirds call,
Their melodies, so pure, so rare,
Guide the swallows home once more.

Rise! The winter's chill has fled,
And spring awakens, fresh and bright,
Reviving hearts once left unsaid,
With breath of blossoms, pure as light.

Sing, O swallow of my soul, sing!
Bring my heart its peace, its bliss.
Let your song in darkness ring—
Sing, sing the hymn of love divine!

O, how swiftly nights have passed!
Alone in silence, vast, profound,
Yet spring now warms my soul at last,
And sorrow yields to joy's embrace.

Why should I not celebrate?
My love no longer wanders far—
Within my soul, enshrined by fate,
Forever burns that guiding star.

So I swear, while breath remains,
My love shall live, unshaken, true—
A vow kept silent, pure, unstained,
As dawn revives the world anew.

Sing, O swallow of my soul, sing!
Bring my heart its peace, its bliss.
Let your song in darkness ring—
Sing, sing the hymn of love divine!
