The Broken Man Poem by Matthew Holloway

The Broken Man

There were the tools of life
Left cast upon the floor
The words and deeds of men
Misused, neglected
The form remaining
An empty shell forlorn
And woe were I that day
A broken man a loss
Master of my own undoing
Creator of hurt and suffering
I plead for forgiveness
To understand my mind
Bur I am at a loss this day
A broken man
