The Bumblebee Poem by Micron

The Bumblebee

Rating: 5.0

In the lazy sun’s caressing warmth at midday
The flowers send their scent out my way
I stand admiring the beautiful garden
Enough to make the coldest heart unharden
When suddenly zooming in front of my eyes
A bubble bee energetically cheekily flies
He lands in the heart of the daisy
And hums loudly buzzing around happily
Flitting among the muticoloured blooms
Flapping shimmering wings he zooms
Through the cultured blooms he does plow
His fluffy body slowly turning golden now
He spots soft fluffy globe blooms in the grass
This clover he really can’t resist or pass
Charging down to these sweet flower
He skillfully lands teetering on the top heavy tower
Now seeing a much brighter colourful bloom
He changes path and flys straight and true
To the tall snap dragon determined he flew
Where these bright glowing blushing flowers stood
Such a bright lively colours these got to good
A harder flower but he knows he really should
He head butts the petals that hide the prize
He’s determined he just has to get inside
Buzzing more loudly he charges again
And just manages to stick his head in when
He stops for a moment maybe he’s stuck
That really would be his bad luck
Wriggling this gap he does prise
Suddenly success as he dives deep inside
The bloom now just bounces around
In rhythm with his buzzing sound
His tiny hind legs only can be seen
As he harvests the food that he can glean
I wonder as watching his legs in the air
I hope he can get out and he’s not stuck there
The bloom now vigorously bobbing about
He buzzes loudly and manages to get out
With rich, golden, pollen food for the hive
He takes home his rich harvest to hide
