The Causality Of Tectonic Plates Meeting Poem by Mark Heathcote

The Causality Of Tectonic Plates Meeting

Even if the garden is filled with moonlight
Or starlight gold, I want you to know
I'm never letting you go.
Whatever hemisphere you set or shine
I'm going to follow you and make you mine.

Whatever mountains lay between us
I'm going to climb
I'm going to level
Whatever oceans lie between us
I'm going to cross
I'm going to swim…
Whatever deserts are put before me
I'm going to walk.
I'm going to navigate.

I am at your mercy.
And if you show me none
Then none shall know of my feelings.
My reverence for your company
None will know of my heartache.
That the fire is the causality of tectonic plates meeting.
