The Changing And Rearranging Of Our Love Poem by Not Long Left

The Changing And Rearranging Of Our Love

Why is it that when we wake
we don't roll over,
Kiss and smooth sleeps
stiffness away.
Declaring our love
In bedroom bliss.
We did once didn't we.
Just you and me
loving was so damned easy.
Each and every word
of mine was funny
Every mistaken forgiven.
Each kiss was a
Gone With The wind moment.
Silence was the look of love.

Well that was back then
Love has changed
and has rearranged
itself into routine.
Morning breath.
Dirty washing.
Comfort in Eastenders.
weekly shopping.
Toilet seat disputes.....

But truth be told,
(a first you would say now)
I have never been so happy.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Beware, the acceptancy of love's evolution can be a breeding ground for complacency. Change is vital, so get her off Eastenders and try Coro for a while. Danny
