The Child's Smile Poem by Varghese J Kuttikat

The Child's Smile

Within the twinkling of an eye
Angels rush down, race up
The human Himalayas towering high
Anything can happen
God may take command
Or will the Devil seduce
The entire virginal lot?
Fire and brimstone won`t daunt the human
But an intimate hug or whisper sweet
Might at once create or destroy universes truly human
Among abounding myths extravagant
The child`s all-absorbing smile extra -sweet
Endures for ever, that too, beyond blemish, eternally blest
Something that prompts Man to believe in bliss attainable
And imagine, in romantic excess, the dust blooming alive
